Patient and Visitor Behaviour Policy

At Village Medical, we are committed to delivering high quality healthcare in a respectful, safe, and supportive environment. The relationship between our patients and healthcare team is central to effective care and is built on mutual respect and understanding.

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all patients, visitors, and staff, we uphold a Zero Tolerance Policy regarding any form of abusive, disruptive, or threatening behaviour.

Unacceptable Behaviours

The following behaviours will not be tolerated on our premises:

• Loud, disruptive or intrusive behaviour, including playing loud music or videos on personal devices without headphones.
• Use of offensive language, verbal abuse, swearing, shouting, or intimidating tone.
• Sexual harassment or assault, including inappropriate comments or gestures.
• Discriminatory remarks, including racist, sexist, or personally derogatory comments.
• Aggressive actions or threatening gestures, either verbal or physical.
• Invasion of personal space or physical intimidation.
• Physical assault or attempted assault.
• Vandalism or damage to practice property or the belongings of others.
• Reckless or dangerous behaviour that could pose harm to others.
• Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol while on the premises.
• Filming or photographing staff, patients, or the clinic environment without prior written consent.
• Discussing or criticising clinic staff or operations on social media platforms in a defamatory or harmful manner.

Consequences of Breach

Any individual displaying such behaviour may be:

• Asked to leave the premises immediately.
• Reported to police where threats or violence are involved.
• Removed from our patient list, which will result in the termination of the doctor–patient relationship.
• Permanently restricted from accessing our services.
